Why Repair Things?

This Sunday we have our first REPAIR CAFE! In the cafe, 11 am til 2 pm, free - please come along and bring things you'd love to repair, rather than throw away.

As it's all new to us - and might be to you too - I thought it might be useful to share a bit more info on what sort of things our volunteer repairers can help you with.

Why repair things? There's a movement around the 'right to repair' - see some great info here - which gives a bigger context around our individual efforts to repair things, rather than throw them away. By taking the effort to work collaboratively to fix things we reduce waste, save money and build community and skills. Sounds good!
